KATE PHELAN

Kate worked her way up- crewing on movies, gaffing and eventually shooting commercials, documentaries and television (Sundance/Berlin/SXSW). She is a member of IATSE Local 52 and International Cinematographers Guild.

In 2016 she started directing (Writers BootCamp/Barrow Group/Jon Shear Creative). Her short, VISIT 57, played festivals nationwide (Hamptons/Bentonville/Athena/Short of the Week/VIMEO). Kate’s episode of Scary Mommy webseries, #MotherJudger, Brave earned over 6m views. She also directed BLUNT, a half hour comedy pilot, for Station Films. Kate has been a directing shadow on both CBS’ BULL, THE GOOD FIGHT & GREY’S ANATOMY. Most recently she was the directed promos for The Last OG s4 on tbs & The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. She is a member of the Directors Guild of America.

Kate lives in New York with her husband and two children.
